35th EHS Showboat 62 - 1997 |
Fellow Classmates
Yes!! We all have the same comment. "It doesn't seem like thirty-five
years since high school graduation". It's clear that we
all appreciate the quality of life we have led. Our healthy responsible
children and now grand children are our dearest treasures. It has
not been easy but loyal spouses and friends have made our journey rewarding.
As we get older we are more health conscious and conservative. Some
of us have experienced corrective surgery. All this makes us appreciate what we have and the beauty of life.
The Reunion Committee chose 'Showboat 62' as a theme focusing on the
Grand Victoria Riverboat and an old time celebration of good friends.
The Grand Victoria is well known for its generous well prepared
buffets. Following a night of dancing those who can still handle
late night partying can cruise the Fox River as they challenge lady luck.
The class book and mailing list was organized by Lois Bradley Coombs
with the help of the committee. Gay Whitcomb Hannell is in
charge of decorations. Joy Thurnau Jensen arranged for the
printing and banquet facilities. Carol Watts Tobin kept us
all moving as she planned the picnic and its catered meal. Kurt
Kasules arranged for the art work, an easy task when you marry
talent - thank you Marilyn. Mary Moser Phillips is our newest
member helping to plan and gather information for the reunion.
It is our great pleasure to help plan our 35th reunion and your presence
will be our reward. We love nothing more than to see you all, but
realize not everyone can attend. Gosh, it'll be good to see everyone again - let's keep enjoying life and each other.
